President Bola Tinubu is currently holding a high-level security meeting with service chiefs, intelligence heads, and the Inspector-General of Police at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The meeting comes amid escalating attacks on military formations in parts of the country by terrorist groups.
Those in attendance include the Chief of Defence Staff, the National Security Adviser, the Chiefs of Army, Navy and Air Staff, the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), and the Inspector-General of Police.
The meeting is being held behind closed doors, and details of the deliberations are yet to be made public as of the time of filing this report.
