Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembele is expected to return to action against Bayer Leverkusen in Tuesday’s Champions League clash, following a six-week injury layoff.
A source close to the club told AFP that the Ballon d’Or winner resumed full training last week after recovering from a hamstring injury sustained while on international duty with France in September.
Dembele, 28, had been undergoing rehabilitation at a specialist clinic in Qatar and missed PSG’s 3–3 draw with Strasbourg on Friday.
His comeback offers a timely boost for coach Luis Enrique, who continues to deal with multiple injuries in his squad.
While PSG will welcome back forwards Desire Doue and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, they remain without Fabian Ruiz and Joao Neves, though captain Marquinhos is reported to have joined the travelling squad to Germany.
PSG, the defending European champions, have won both of their opening Champions League matches against Atalanta and Barcelona.
