The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has debunked a viral post today, June 20th, 2026 claiming the agency is currently recruiting, urging Nigerians to disregard the information and remain vigilant.
In a statement released on its verified X page on Tuesday, the Commission said there is no ongoing recruitment exercise and described the circulating post as false.
The EFCC advised the public to “be vigilant and part ways with any news regarding the ongoing recruitment,” noting that official announcements are only made through its verified channels.
The Commission has in recent years warned repeatedly about fake recruitment adverts used to defraud job seekers. It said members of the public who encounter suspicious posts should report to the nearest EFCC office or through its official communication platforms.
For now, the agency says it has not opened any application portal and will duly inform Nigerians when a legitimate recruitment process begins.
