The Kwara State Government has commenced payment of March salaries to civil servants ahead of the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
The development was announced in a statement shared on the government’s official Facebook page on Tuesday.
According to the state government, the early payment is aimed at easing financial pressure on workers during the festive period.
The administration reaffirmed its commitment to workers’ welfare and the tradition of timely salary payments, particularly during major celebrations.
The statement noted that the move aligns with Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s practice of prioritising the well-being of civil servants.
The early disbursement is expected to provide relief to workers, enabling them to meet increased financial demands associated with the celebration.
Eid-el-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, a period observed by Muslims worldwide with fasting, prayers, and reflection, and is typically celebrated with prayers, charity, and family gatherings.
