The Emir of Ilorin has approved Friday, July 10, 2026, for the turbaning ceremony of the 13th Chief Imam of Ilorin Emirate, Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki (Imam Fulani).
According to a statement issued by the Personal Assistant to the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Abdulraheem Muritala, the ceremony will take place at the Emir’s Palace in Ilorin and is scheduled to commence at 10:00 a.m.
The event will be presided over by the Emir of Ilorin.
The statement prayed for Allah to grant the new Chief Imam good health, long life and wisdom to lead the Muslim Ummah, while also wishing the Emir of Ilorin continued good health and a long reign.
