The first batch of Kwara State pilgrims returning from the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage has arrived safely in Ilorin from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
A statement said MaxAir Flight NGL273, operated by aircraft 5N-HMM (B747-400), landed at the Ilorin International Airport at 12:25 p.m. on Saturday, conveying 533 pilgrims back to the state.
The successful arrival marks the commencement of the return journey for Kwara pilgrims who participated in this year’s Hajj exercise.
The state authorities expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting the pilgrims a safe journey and successful pilgrimage.
The returning pilgrims were also warmly welcomed back to Kwara State after completing one of the most important religious obligations in Islam.
