IEDPU expresses confidence in AIG Moshood Jimoh

The Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) has expressed confidence in the integrity of the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 2, Lagos, Moshood Olohundare Jimoh, describing him as a promoter of peace, fairness and justice.

The union stated this in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Suleiman Shuaib Dagbo, on Friday.

National President of the union, Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, said members of the Ilorin Emirate had been following allegations made against the senior police officer by social media activist Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, over the Ajiran murder case.

Abdulmalik said AIG Jimoh, an alumnus of one of the union’s schools, had distinguished himself throughout his career through professionalism, dedication and commitment to justice.

He added that while every individual has the right to seek justice, such efforts should not result in the destruction of the hard-earned reputation of innocent citizens, particularly public officers entrusted with maintaining law and order.

“We have absolute trust in the integrity of AIG Moshood Olohundare Jimoh. Over the years, he has proven himself to be a promoter of peace, fairness and justice,” Abdulmalik said.

He urged the police officer not to be discouraged by criticisms but to remain committed to the discharge of his duties.

The IEDPU also assured AIG Jimoh of the prayers and support of the Emir and the people of Ilorin Emirate.
