IEDPU welcomes Emir Sulu-Gambari back to Ilorin

The Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) has welcomed the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, back to the emirate following his annual vacation in Turkey.

The Emir returned to Ilorin on Friday after spending about two months abroad.

In a statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary of the union, Mallam Suleiman Shuaib Dagbo, the IEDPU National President, Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, described the monarch’s return as a welcome development.

He said the people of the emirate were delighted and hopeful that the Emir had returned rejuvenated for continued service to the peace and progress of Ilorin and the country at large.

Alhaji Abdulmalik, a retired Assistant Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, described the Emir as a blessing to the community, noting that his reign has been a watershed in the history of the emirate and Kwara State.

He also reaffirmed the union’s commitment to supporting the monarch in his efforts to further develop the emirate.

The IEDPU president prayed for the Emir’s continued good health and long reign on the throne of his forebears.
