The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared Sunday, 26 July 2026, as the final day for the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration, CVR, exercise nationwide.
In a public notice issued on Sunday, the Commission urged eligible Nigerians who are yet to register or update their voter information to do so before the close of the exercise today.
“Time is running out, but there’s still an opportunity to make your voice count,” INEC stated.
The Commission said the CVR exercise covers new voter registration, transfer of registration, correction of personal details, and replacement of lost or damaged Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs.
Eligible citizens can complete the process online via the INEC portal at _cvr.inecnigeria.org_ or visit any INEC State or Local Government Area office before the deadline.
INEC reminded the public that voter registration is the gateway to participating in the 2027 general elections, stressing that “your vote is your voice.”
“Don’t wait until it’s too late. Register today and be ready to decide tomorrow,” the Commission added.
The CVR exercise, which commenced earlier this year, is part of INEC’s preparations to produce a credible voters’ register for the 2027 general elections.
