The Kwara State Government has commenced the 2026 Productivity Enhancement Training for civil servants as part of preparations for the state’s promotion exercise.
The development was disclosed in a statement issued by the Press Secretary in the Office of the Head of Service, Okanlawon Solomon.
According to the statement, the Acting Head of Service, Dr. Olufunke Mercy Shittu, will formally declare the training open at the Staff Development College, Ilorin, where the programme will run until August 28, 2026.
The government said the training is designed to improve productivity, enhance efficiency and strengthen service delivery across the state civil service.
It added that successful completion of the programme is a mandatory requirement for all officers eligible for the 2026 promotion exercise.
The training will be conducted in two phases. Batch A, covering officers on Grade Levels 10 to 16 and Administrative Officers across all grade levels, will hold from July 14 to July 31, while Batch B, for officers on Grade Levels 6 to 9, is scheduled for August 11 to August 28.
The Office of the Head of Service urged all eligible officers to participate fully in the exercise.
