The political group formerly known as the G15 has rebranded as the Otoge Progressives and endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The rebranding was announced during the Kwara G15 Town Hall Engagement with All Progressives Congress stakeholders held in Ilorin, where leaders of the group unveiled the new identity and outlined their political direction.
The group unanimously endorsed President Tinubu as its preferred presidential candidate for the 2027 election, expressing confidence in his leadership and pledging to mobilise support across Kwara State to secure his re-election.
The event was attended by APC stakeholders, political office holders, community leaders, youth groups and party supporters from different parts of the state. Participants described the meeting as an opportunity to strengthen unity within the party and reaffirm their commitment to the ideals of the APC.
The rebranding of the G15 as the Otoge Progressives is widely viewed as an effort to strengthen the group’s political structure and expand grassroots participation within the ruling party. The endorsement of President Tinubu also signals the group’s early alignment with the APC’s preparations for the 2027 general elections.
