The Kwara State Government has called on residents to collaborate with security agencies to ensure lasting peace and safety across the state.

Ibraheem Abdullateef Akolu, Senior Special Assistant to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq on Communication, made the appeal during today’s episode of SBS FM’s weekly Yoruba program on security, Abo Ilu. The program was closely monitored by SBS FM reporter Oluwatosin Babatunde.

Speaking on the show, Akolu said the government is committed to restoring normalcy in communities that recently experienced security challenges. He noted that “peace is gradually returning to the areas that faced unrest, and this progress is largely due to the joint efforts of security agencies and community members.”

He further urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities. “Security is a collective responsibility. By working together, we can ensure our communities are safe and peaceful for everyone,” Akolu added.

The Senior Special Assistant also praised the efforts of the state’s security agencies, saying their proactive measures and community engagement strategies are helping to rebuild trust and stability across the state.

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq’s administration continues to emphasize the importance of community participation in security, highlighting that a united approach is crucial for preventing crime and maintaining peace.
