Kwara State’s Arobadi Market Set to Reopen After Approval

The Arobadi Market in Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State is set to reopen on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, after receiving approval from the Chairman of Moro, Hajia Mariam.

The market’s chairman, Alhaji Busari Kunmi, announced the development in a statement signed by the market secretary, Jimoh Kaakakin, and Iyaloja Nafisat Iya Agunmu.

The market will offer a variety of goods, including maize, yam, cassava, pepper, millet, soya beans, and more, when it reopens on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Arobadi.

Furthermore, Nigeria Police and other security agencies have been deployed to ensure a safe trading environment.

The market committee expressed gratitude to the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, and other traditional rulers, including Daudu Maigida, Alangua Arobadi, Alangua Irewole, and Alangua Alamo, for their support in the market’s reestablishment.

The committee urged farmers and traders to bring their goods to the market, taking advantage of the secure environment.

In a bid to boost economic activities in the region, the market’s reopening is expected to provide a platform for locals to buy and sell essential goods.

The event is likely to attract traders and customers from surrounding communities, including the 47 communities that fall under the Moro Local Government Area.
