The Magaji Nda of Ilorin, Dr. Saliu Woru Muhammad, has called on the Kwara State Government to strengthen its security architecture in order to safeguard lives and property across the state.
Speaking on SBS FM’s weekly security programme, Abo Ilu, monitored by Aminat Folorunsho, Dr. Muhammad assured residents that Kwara State still enjoys relative peace and harmony despite the growing insecurity in parts of the country.
He attributed the rising cases of insecurity in some local government areas to delays in government response and emphasized the need for the creation of a state-managed security outfit to complement existing federal efforts.
Dr. Muhammad also urged the state government to deploy more trained officers to rural communities and provide adequate logistics, including patrol vehicles, to enhance police mobility and response time.
While commending Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration for its support to vulnerable communities affected by bandit attacks, the Magaji Nda encouraged continuous collaboration among stakeholders to ensure lasting peace and security across Kwara State.
