The Management of SBS FM wishes to clarify issues arising from comments made by a guest during one of our recent programmes(Arise Larika on Monday, 1st December, 2025
We want the public to understand that SBS FM does not support, endorse, or promote any of the referenced information against the Kwara State Government or any individuals mentioned.
As a responsible broadcaster, we operate strictly in accordance with the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) Code and remain committed to professionalism and regulatory compliance.
We uphold the fundamental right of citizens to freedom of expression, but such expressions must be based on facts and not misinformation. SBS FM therefore does not support, encourage, or facilitate the spread of misinformation. Any misleading statement made on our platform was not authorised by the management.
To maintain public trust, we will address the misinformation during a follow-up live session of the said program on Monday 8th December 2025, (12noon) to ensure clarity, accuracy, and balance.
We reaffirm that SBS FM has no intent to malign, defame, or conspire against any individual or institution.
