Saraki condemns Maiduguri explosions, urges vigilance

Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has condemned the explosions that rocked Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, describing the attack as despicable.

In a statement posted on his X handle on Tuesday, the former Kwara State governor expressed outrage over the incident, which reportedly claimed over 20 lives and left more than 100 others injured.

Saraki called for urgent action to strengthen security across the country and prevent further attacks.

He urged residents of Maiduguri and Nigerians at large to remain calm but vigilant, and to promptly report any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.

The former Senate President also tasked security agencies to intensify efforts to apprehend those responsible for the attack.
