SBS FM Begins 2026 Ramadan Qur’an Competition

SBS FM has commenced its 2026 Ramadan Qur’an Competition, attracting participants from various Islamic schools across Kwara State.

The initiative is aimed at promoting excellence in Qur’anic recitation and deepening students’ understanding of Islamic teachings during the holy month of Ramadan.

The competition features two main categories. The first is the Qur’an recitation segment, comprising the 4 Hizb and 20 Hizb groups for pupils from participating Islamic schools. The second category focuses on quizzes, with contestants answering questions drawn from the approved Islamic studies syllabus

Organisers say the programme is designed to encourage children to develop greater interest in Islamic education and strengthen their knowledge of the Qur’an and other religious subjects.

The competition, which began on Saturday, will continue this weekend with a grand finale and prize presentation ceremony for outstanding participants.

Participating schools include Al Habr International College of Qur’an and Its Sciences, Ansarul Islam Secondary School, Government Day Junior Secondary School, Dr. Ayman College of Qur’an, Manbau Tahfeezul Qur’an, Ma’had Imam Katib, Markazus Sunnah Nabawiyyah Li Tahfeezil Qur’an, Markaz Alfa Yahaya Agodi, and Zumuratul Adabiyyah Kamaliyyah.
