Tinubu Posts 65 Ambassadors, Reno Omokri to Mexico, Fani-Kayode to Germany

President Bola Tinubu has announced the posting of 65 ambassadors to various countries and the United Nations, including 31 non-career and 34 career diplomats, according to a statement from his media aide, Bayo Onanuga, on Friday.

Among the non-career appointees, Reno Omokri, former presidential spokesperson, was posted to Mexico City, while former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode was assigned to Germany.

The full list of ambassadors reflects a mix of seasoned diplomats and political appointees tasked with representing Nigeria’s interests abroad and strengthening bilateral relations globally.

This marks one of the largest ambassadorial postings in recent Nigerian history, underlining the Tinubu administration’s focus on foreign policy and international engagement.
