President Bola Tinubu will attend the 8th edition of the Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit (NDIS) as the Special Guest of Honour, the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) announced on Friday.
The event is scheduled to hold from November 11 to 13, 2025, in Abuja, and will focus on “Fast-Tracking Regional and National Development by Mobilising Diaspora Investment.”
Addressing journalists at a press briefing in Abuja, NiDCOM Chairman and CEO, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, said the summit had evolved into a major economic platform since its inception in 2018, attracting investors, entrepreneurs, and policymakers from across key sectors.
“We are honoured that His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu, will once again serve as the Special Guest of Honour,” Dabiri-Erewa said. “The summit continues to demonstrate the impact of diaspora investment on national growth.”
According to her, the 2024 edition of the summit generated about ₦673 million in investment deals across sectors such as real estate, healthcare, ICT, and agriculture.
“Last year, we had 56 investment pitches covering eight strategic sectors, which attracted 168 deals worth ₦673 million. This shows how much momentum the Summit has built over the years,” she added.
Dabiri-Erewa emphasised that the 2025 edition would deepen collaboration between the government and the Nigerian diaspora community to drive inclusive economic development.
