Afrobeats star Zlatan Ibile has opened up about the inspiration behind his upcoming third studio album, “Symbol of Hope.”
In an interview featuring his son, Shiloh, the rapper said the project captures his life’s journey from humble beginnings to stardom and reflects the resilience and determination that shaped his rise from hardship to success.
“When I was growing up, I used to have people I looked up to,” Zlatan said. “I saw people who made it from nothing to something. They used their talent, they hustled right, and got to the top.”
He added that the album title mirrors his desire to inspire others who face similar struggles.
“They were symbols that gave me hope. And now, a lot of people look up to me too, including you,” he told his son. “I’ve become a symbol of hope to many.”
Zlatan’s “Symbol of Hope” is expected to feature a blend of Afro-fusion sounds and deeply personal storytelling, further solidifying his evolution as one of Nigeria’s most consistent hitmakers.
