The Board of Trustees of the PDP, led by former Senate President Adolphus Wabara, has appointed a 13-member interim National Working Committee (NWC) for the party.
Wabara announced the development on Monday, stating that the move was in line with the party’s constitution and aimed at addressing a leadership vacuum.
He explained that the vacuum followed a Supreme Court of Nigeria judgment which upheld the nullification of the party’s Ibadan National Convention.
The decision was reached at a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting convened by a faction of the party led by Tanimu Turaki at the Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja.
