The National Youth Service Corps NYSC, has released fresh guidelines for prospective corps members ahead of the upcoming orientation exercise, advising them against travelling at night and outlining key registration requirements.
In a notice published on its official X handle, the scheme urged prospective corps members to prioritise their safety by avoiding night journeys to their designated orientation camps.
The NYSC also warned that candidates with discrepancies between the graduation date on their call-up letters and on their statements of results will not be registered at the orientation camp.
It advised affected prospective corps members to resolve such discrepancies with their respective Student Affairs Officers before reporting to camp.
The scheme further directed all prospective corps members to complete the required documentation before arrival, including printing, signing and submitting their registration forms during the registration process.
The NYSC also outlined the procedure for candidates seeking correction of their dates of birth. It advised applicants to obtain a 19- or 20-digit WAEC Verification PIN and complete the correction process through their NYSC dashboard by providing the required examination details for verification.
The scheme urged all prospective corps members to comply with the guidelines to ensure a smooth registration process and avoid unnecessary delays during the orientation exercise.
