Tight security as Plateau arraigns suspects over Jos killings

Security was heightened on Thursday at the Plateau State High Court in Jos as the state government arraigned suspects linked to the March 2026 attack on Angwan Rukuba community in Jos North Local Government Area.

The defendants, arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) between April 3 and April 10, were brought to court under heavy security presence to prevent any breakdown of law and order.

The suspects arrived at the court premises at about 9:20 a.m., amid tight surveillance by security operatives.

The Plateau State Government has filed charges bordering on criminal conspiracy to commit terrorism and other related offences against the accused, including Isa Umar Ibrahim, Auwalu Abubakar, also known as Auwalu Dogo, and Musa Abubakar Ibrahim, alias Yaroro.

Further details are expected as proceedings continue.
